The
Wallace Pool is located at the Westfield Area YMCA in Westfield, NJ. The main line for the YMCA is (908)
233-2700. This number is for emergencies only.
All calls regarding this meet should be directed to the Meet
Director. The pool is a
six-lane, 25-yard pool equipped with non-turbulent lane lines, Keifer
starting blocks, a Colorado Timing system and a six-lane Colorado timing
display board. Spectator seating for
300 is available in the pool balcony.
Swimmers will be marshaled in the gym. |

All entries will be accepted on a first come basis. ·
Team entries will not be considered as accepted unless the
waiver form and entry fees have been received. ·
All Teams that are not accepted will be called. ·
Meet entries will be taken until the meet fills. The host club must
stay within the four hour per session rule. ·
In accordance with NJS policy, team entries may be submitted by
E-mail to bguidera@westfieldynj.org ·
If you are not e-mailing your entries, then overnight or express mail
is recommended, but waive the signature. ·

Swimmer Eligibility: |
All swimmers must be members of a YMCA to enter and compete in this meet. There
will be 8 & Under, 9/10, 11-12, 13-14, and 15 & Over Events. Each
swimmer may compete in 3 individual
events and 2 relays in Sessions 1, 2 & 3. In
addition to Sessions 1, 2 & 3, each swimmer may compete in 2 individual events in the non-scoring Bonus Session. Age
determined as of December 1st, 2007 |

Meet Format: |
· Run in accordance with current YMCA Swimming Rules. · Run as a timed final meet. · Marshaled with coaches checking in/scratching all swimmers. · When the seeding has been posted, swimmers will report to the gym. · All swimmers seated in and marshaled from the gym. · The host club has the right to change the format of the meet to insure a more efficient swim meet for the swimmers and the host club. Reasons for these changes would be: o To allow more swimmers to swim. o To conform to facility capacity limits or for facility safety concerns. ·
To condense the meet into a shorter time frame. |

Warm-up Procedures: |
All
swimmers must enter the pool with feet first entries and from the starting
end of the pool. ·
Coaches will monitor warm-ups for their teams. ·
Teams will be assigned warm-up sessions and lanes Warm-up Schedules.

Entry Times: |
NT
or No Time will be allowed as an entry time. All entry times must be in short course yards. |

Check-In: |
All
check-in sheets must be turned into the scoring table 30 minutes before the
start of each session. Swimmers that
are swimming will have a line drawn through their name. Swimmers that are being scratched will
have their names circled with a SCR next to the circle. Swimmers scratching a single event will
have a line through his/her name and the event number circled with SCR next
to the circle. |

Host Club Responsibilities: |
· Provide a single timer in each lane through out the meet. · Will have stopwatches available for volunteers helping to time. ·
Will e-mail all club entries back to the participating teams for
confirmation by coach. · Will create timing
assignments that are fair and equitable with as many teams participating as
possible. · Timing assignments will be
e-mailed to all participating clubs no later than 72 hours before the meet. |

Participating Club Responsibilities: |
· Participating clubs must help with timing assignments. · Participating club parents must stay off the pool deck except for timing assignments. · Participating clubs should help with officiating whenever possible. o List the club contact for officials on the meet summary. |
|
Concessions: |
The
Devilfish Cafι will be opened throughout the meet. The Cafι will serve breakfast, lunch, dinner, beverage, and
snack selections at reasonable costs. |
|
